Now For The Big News Guys!



But befor that I want to thank Marie Ortega, the awesome person who works at the East Bay Express for taking the time to check out my work and booking me for one of the coolest partys in the east bay of the SF area.

On July the 11th, 2008 I will be on the entrance stage of the Best Of the East Bay party whitch is held at 1000 Oak Street, in Oakland, CA at 10:30 PM sharp and will be playing till 11PM. At this event the great bands The Uptones, Flipper, Destroyer (Kiss Tribute Band), DYLOOT, Hottub, The Key Choice, Brandi Choice, DJ Malachi, The Whoreshoses, Monarchs, Bnai Rebelfront and Agent Ribbons will also be playing.

If you are in the Bay Are PLEASE come to this show.

On other news keep a eye on on my myspace page and www.mikeglendinning.com a small tour is in the works for next month. I will for sure be in NV, WA, Hollywood, and I would like to think a few in OR thats why you need to keep a eye on my sites for show dates.

Usually when a musician tries to pull off a new style of music they eventually fail and/or give up. This is not the case with the amazing work that Mike Glendinning has done on Random Acts of Grunge Jazz. Mixing avant-garde, punk, rock, jazz, country, blues, grunge and just about every other genre of music you can think of in a musical blender, the album takes a hypnotizing trip into music that will leave you listening over and over again. From his cover of "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," which sounds like a lost recording of gypsy guitar legend Django Reinhardt to his brilliant, and haunting "Dead Red Summer," this album is sure to please many listeners.

Fuck You! What the fuck are you good for? Get a life!

I want to give a big thank you to my boy Derek Lamar Jackson for who is the writer and director for a play called "Marriage Counseling" he asked me to do the music to it and it was a blast.

No you dont have to get your eyes checked. That right in on the radio KKUP in Santa Clara.

Keep checking in this is only the start.

I did not think of that when I talked to Todd South in Reno for the 2-29 gig.....Fuck! Im going to go to Reno when the weather is better. My wife and I will be in LA to push the new CD around March 3 to March 6 and also hang out at Disneyland on my B-day. I just sent a bunch of CDs to LA radio stations and in about a week to a bunch of stations in Oregon, and Washington so it looks like my sring will be filled with greyhound rides. If you want me to play where your are at let me know. My wife and I are always looking for a good road trip.

Trying to get reviewed, next Radio play, plan a road trip. None of this is going to happen overnight. While I'm doing all this I am looking for a new band to form. The gigs I have done were with sit in players. I need something More stable. Gary Wade and I have been talking about getting a good 2 hours of music together and its a challenge to stay on top of that idea because we are both working on other things but I am going to get a good solid schedule with him soon.

The Christmas season is here and I got some work playing some musical jobs witch will help because students are out of town around this time of year. Once the dust clears a little More I am going to start dealing with the digital distribution of the new CD. I hope to have all that up and running in a month or so.

The CD Release Party/ Fundraiser for the stoke awareness foundation was a success. I want to thank all you guys who came and bought a CD. I want to thank Sherry Houston for letting people know about the stroke warning signs.

I met a lot of cool new people and performed songs off of my new CD with some great musician, Jon Cooney on drums, Gary Wade on guitar, Will Rzad on bass. After the fundraiser I decided I will continue to find ways to raise awareness and when I can money for stroke education.

The CD is done! I am in the middle of planning a CD release party. It is set for 12-01-07 in Albany, CA. I have some cool stuff planed to help stroke education.

How soon? Well lets put it this way Im having the graphic design done as Im writing this blog. Im going to need some help with doing road stuff. If you are a fan of mine and want me to play in your area please send me a e-mail and we can figure something out. This time I would like to do west coast shows and than next summer hit what I can in the US.

I am getting better about using video's and I have started to document the progress of my career. There is a video up on myspace.com/mikeglendinning showing Bob and I working out a Clarences song.

Well the new CD is going slower than I thought. My friend Bob asked me to play guitar in his band The Clarences that plays in the SF bay area. They are on my top friends list. When I have a show whith them I will send out a bulletin. Now I am just lerning the songs and will start rehersing with them soon.



I have been working on a new video and that should be done in a few days.
